POLAND COMES FORTH WITH IDEA OF ALLOCATING LAX CREDIT TO ARMENIA

Deputy Director of the Department of International Bilateral Cooperation of the Polish Ministry of Economy Elzbieta Bodio said that Poland came forth with an idea of allocating a lax credit to Armenia.
The Polish delegation includes businessmen of various fields - energy, construction, medicine, tourism, etc.

CENTRAL BANK LEFT UNCHANGED THE REFINANCING RATE

On July 13, 2010, Central Bank Council did not change the refinancing rate - 7, 25%.
Deflation of 0, 8 percent was recorded in June in comparison with the previous month, in case of which the 12-month inflation index decreased by 0, 5 percent in comparison with the previous month amounting to 5, 8%.

AMERIABANK HELPS NEGOTIATE LOANS FOR ELITE GROUP

As an investment bank Armenian Ameriabank has successfully negotiated attraction of two loans from two major international lending organizations to support construction of Elite Plaza, the first high-class multipurpose office building in Yerevan.
IFC, a member of the World Bank Group and the EBRR (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) will provide loans of $5.4 million and $3.6 million, respectively, to Elite Group, one of the leading property development companies to build an 18-store building that will accommodate office, retail, conference, and exhibition areas to meet the growing demand for high-quality office space in Armenia.
Ameriabank acted as a financial and legal consultant for negotiating the loan and secured development of required financial models, provision of consulting services, conduction of talks and signing contracts as well as other assistance.
Earlier IFC said that the investment is a part of the two institutions’ regional strategy to support development of infrastructure in emerging markets. According to Ameriabank, the loans will be provided at lower than current interest rates.

ARMENIAN CONFERENCE OF BANKERS AND FINANCIERS HELD IN YEREVAN OCTOBER 17-21

Questions of holding the Pan-Armenian Conference of bankers and financiers were discussed on Monday in Yerevan by the Deputy Minister of Diaspora of Armenia Stepan Petrosyan and Credit Officer of Canadian Royal Bank Khoren Mardoyan, the press service of the Ministry of Diaspora reported.
"As a result of the conference will be set-Armenian community of bankers and financiers," said in a statement. Mardoyan expressed willingness to facilitate the preparation of this conference.
