Tourists flow to NKR increasing

The interest of foreign citizens in the Nagorno Karabakh Republic is increasing.
The total number of foreign citizens, who visited the Republic in the first half-year of 2010, increased by 45% compared with the similar period of 2009.
The geography of the tourists keeps expanding. Considerable part of the tourists make citizens of the USA, France, Iran, Great Britain, Holland, Switzerland, Canada, Italy, Poland, and the CIS states.
Special interest in Artsakh is displayed by representatives of the Armenian Diaspora of various states worldwide.
The tourists mainly visit the town of Shushi, the Gandzasar, Amaras, Dadivank Monasteries, and the ancient town of Tigranakert.
Tsakhkadzor can become international sports base, RF Deputy Premier says

The visit of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov is mainly aimed at the establishment of closer ties between the states in the development of sport sector.
He pointed out Armenia’s good sport traditions in the Soviet period and major sports bases providing training of the sportsmen in high mountains.
He also stressed that presently Russian sportsmen arrive in Tsakhkadzor as well.
Russia and Armenia should develop cooperation in sport sector and use the opportunities created by Armenia for the training of the Russian sportsmen.
PASSENGER OUTFLOW EXCEEDS INFLOW THROUGH ZVARTNOTS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport has during the first semester this year implemented 4,279 landings-arrivals against the backdrop of 3,742 at the same period last year.
300,359 passenger have come to Armenia while the number of the passengers who have left the country make 347,636. Last year 274,329 passengers had arrived to Armenia and 309,253 had left it.
2,493 tones of loads have been imported to Armenia against 1,579last year
